Arc. Foluso Adebayo Dipe was born on the 29th October, 1961 at Epe in Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State. He attended Ijebu-Ode Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode for his Secondary Education between 1973 and 1977 where he obtained the West African School Certificate. Thereafter, he proceeded to Federal Government College Odogbolu between 1977 and 1979 where he obtained the General Certificate of Education (G.C.E.) Advance Level. Between 1979 and 1984, he studied Architecture at the University of Lagos, Akoka-Yaba where he bagged the Bachelor of Environmental Studies (B.E.S.) and Master of Environment Design (M.E.D.) in Architecture.
The mandatory National Service, Arc. Dipe worked with the Delta Steel Company, Aladja Warri and later with Owah-Unik Consultants – a Firm of Consulting Architects that was responsible for the design and supervision of most of the Buildings at the Petroleum Training Institute, Warri.
Arc. F. A. Dipe joined the Lagos State Civil Service as Architect Grade I in February, 1986 and was deployed to the then Ministry of Works and Transport. He rose through the ranks to become the Director Architectural Services in 2010.
He was the Head, Architectural and Building Services Department of the Ministry of Housing until 27th February 2015 when he was appointed a Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service and deployed to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
On 2nd November 2015, he was re-deployed to the Ministry of Housing.
Arc. F. A. Dipe was involved in the design and supervision of construction of various Government Projects including Secretariat Office Buildings, Secretariat Auditorium, Secretariat Chapel, Eko FM Studio Complex and various Housing Projects. He was recipient of Lagos State Government Productivity Merit Award in 2007.
Arc. F. A. is a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and also a registered member of the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
He is married with children.
