DAVID ADEGBITE ADEJOKUN, Director, Administration and Human Resources

David Adegbite, Adejokun was born on 2nd April, 1961. He attended St. Paul’s Catholic School, Ebute-Metta from 1967 to 1973. He proceeded to Lagos City College, Yaba for his secondary education, which he completed in 1978. Mr. Adejokun also attended Baptist Academy, Yaba for his Higher School Certificate (HSC) from 1979 to 1981.

He also attended the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba to study Political Science and graduated in 1985 in the Second Class Upper Division.

He was employed by the Lagos State Government as Information Officer II GL. 08 with effect from 27th April, 1987. Four years later (1991) he was at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism Ogba, Ikeja where he studied for and passed out with Upper Credit Class in Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism.

In 1997 Mr. Adejokun transferred to the Administrative Officers cadre as Senior Personnel Officer, GL. 10. In the same year, he proceeded again to the University of Lagos where he bagged a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) in 1998.

On transfer to the Admin Officer’s cadre, Mr. Adejokun worked in different Ministries and Departments. He began at the old General Services Bureau (GSB) and was later deployed to the then Office of Establishments, Pensions and Training. He also worked in the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations (where he first headed a Department), Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Civil Service Commission (CSC), Office of Infrastructure and Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs, from where he was deployed to the Ministry of Housing as Director, Admin and Human Resources.

He is married with children.
