ESV. Abdul-Akeem Ayodeji Amodu. SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO GOVERNOR ON HOUSING
ESV. Abdul- Akeem Ayodeji Amodu (ANIVS) was recently appointed as Senior Special Assistant on Housing to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. Prior to this appointment, he was the Chief Administrative and Human Resources Officer in Lagos State Local Government Service Commission and served meritoriously as Clerk to the House and Head of Department, Legislative Arm of Ajeromi/Ifelodun Local Government Area, a position where he clearly distinguished himself as not only a great achiever but also an astute professional and seasoned administrator in discharging his assigned responsibilities.
Abdul- Akeem was born in Lagos Island Local Government to the Ejalonibu – Amodu Family of Lagos Island, Lagos State. He is a Forensic Psychologist and Criminal Investigator as he was qualified by his degree in Forensic Psychology and Post Graduate Diploma in Criminal Intelligence from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos State. He also observed the statutory NYSC scheme at Mobil Producing Nigeria now (Exxon Mobil.
A very keen go getter, he worked with several leading Professional Real Estate Organisations in Nigeria and aboard between 1998 and 2004 before he joined the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission. In the past 15 years, he had served at various Local Government Establishments in the State and had handled several portfolios ranging from transport, chieftaincy affairs and revenue generation for various local government councils. A seasoned bureaucrat, Amodu was also an Area officer during the course of his career at the Local government service commission. .
He was also credited as the pioneer President of the Local Government Service Commission Area Officer’s Forum (LOGSCAOF).
It is noteworthy that, earlier, the thirst for knowledge took him to Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State where he acquired a Master in Business Administration with specialization in International Business Management in 2012.
A distinguished professional, Amodu is a registered member, Associate Member and Fellow of various relevant professional associations such as the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers; (RSV); Association, The Nigerian Institute of Management; Institute of Administration of Nigeria ;International Institute of Forensic Investigation and Accounting ;Chartered Institute of Professional Managers and the International Facility Management Association. .
He has attended many workshops, trainings and seminars in Nigeria and beyond. A well sought after resource person for trainings and seminars in the Real estate and Human management both locally, Amodu loves travelling and meeting people.
